 Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade Challenge

Problem: Your good friend is performing in a marching band that is leading the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, which begins at 9:00 AM. Follow the clues to see your friend perform, and check your answers in the Google Form at the bottom of the page.

First Clue: You are supposed to watch your friend from the parade start, which is located at the intersection of 77th Street and some other street. Use this Snote to decode the name of the street.

Second Clue: You missed seeing your friend at the start. Suddenly, the person next to you throws her hands up and shouts, "That there was the first balloon ever ... whatever his name is." Perhaps something from the YouTube video you watched could jog your memory.

Third Clue: You walk to the 4th marching band stop to watch your friend. Since it takes the band 20 minutes to reach each stop, you look up at the nearest clock and realize you must now wait.

You hear the band approaching, but first see a set of bowling ballonicles (balloons atop vehicles). Each bowling pin is 1 story, or 14 feet, tall. Santa’s Sleigh is the largest float in the parade, measuring 60 feet long and 3.5 stories tall.

Hooray! Watch this parade performance.
